We're Growing Our Child Care Workforce

The Crawford County Kids Association Provider Scholarship Program is designed to reduce financial barriers for early childhood educators pursuing professional development. Whether you're just starting your career or looking to grow in the field, this program supports your journey toward excellence in care.



Through funding assistance for classes and required materials, the program strengthens the local child care workforce and ensures Crawford County children benefit from high-quality, well-trained providers.

Financial Support When You Need It Most

How the Scholarship Works

Eligible early childhood educators can apply for scholarship assistance during designated application windows (approx. 30 days). Awards are based on financial need, available funding, and prioritized criteria.


Scholarship funds are paid directly to your school and may be used toward early childhood coursework and textbooks. Any remaining balance is the student’s responsibility. While acceptance into the program does not guarantee full tuition coverage, applicants may be placed on a waitlist if funding becomes available.

Who Can Apply?

The CCKA Provider Scholarship is designed for aspiring and current early childhood educators who are ready to grow—but may need financial help to get started. You may qualify if you meet the following criteria:


  • You’re a student at one of the four Crawford County high schools or enrolled at an Illinois Eastern Community College
  • You are currently taking Early Childhood Education classes
  • You can demonstrate financial need that creates a barrier to professional development

Application Dates & Process

CCKA accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, allowing students to apply at any time. Support is offered to eligible applicants based on the availability of funding at the time their application is reviewed.
